Our Story
MA’ARGAN was founded by two women from different worlds who shared the same belief: skincare should be intentional, effective, and rooted in something real.
One of our founders grew up in Morocco, where the hammam was not a luxury but a rhythm of life. Weekly rituals were part of the culture — black soap warmed between the palms, the Kessa glove revealing renewed skin, clay drawn from the earth, and rose water applied as a final touch of calm. These were not trends or spa experiences. They were inherited practices passed down through generations of women.
Our American co-founder experienced this ritual not as an outsider looking in, but as someone deeply moved by its simplicity and effectiveness. What stood out was not only the results, but the philosophy behind it — the idea that skincare could be both practical and ceremonial at the same time.
